My form of exercise has been DDR as of late. I would set the workout mode to 30 minutes and then I just keep dancing.

Oddly enough, I'm getting better at it. Still playing green songs though.

Five straight hours of forging, swinging hammers ranging from a just under a pound to over 3 pounds. It doesn't sound much, but go swing a clawhook for ten minutes.

The muscles it damaged were in unexpected places, though.

I started doing crunches and jogging yesterday. Right now, I'm going to run for twenty minutes and power walk back home. At least, until I can get a knee brace after I see a doctor and get the okay. I rather not destruct my knee even further.

Which sucks because I like to run, especially with Sam, my younger step-brother. He's really into doing stuff with me that involves activity.

Not sure what sort of thing I'll do tomorrow. I'll put running on hold and do DDR for an hour with Sam. -nod-nod-

haha Yeah. xD I should have been more specific though. I'd like to know the progress people are making because of all of this exercise.

I did see a photo of Britney Spears the other day. It was shockingly inspirational because she's back in shape again! o_O Those dance classes (and rehab) have worked wonders for her. No pregnancy podge and she has a fit belly again! I'm tempted to take up dance.

Yeah, probably should have been specific. Well, for me, I'm just getting my energy levels back to the way it was. Although my work out times are not consistent, meaning, one week, I'll do exercise for 5 days, then the next, for 1 day and so on. So I don't have anything to show for. Although, just talking in this helps me motivate to get on DDR because I can't run like I used to. Neutral

Aerobicizing to anime tunes is actually kind of fun... as long as you're not around anything breakable.

Or without shoes.

I'm gonna stick to DDR from now on.

Day One:

Mom just lent me two dvds on aerobics, one is a six week program by Debbie Siebers.

I just started today. I'm going to report in daily. I'll edit this post as not to create double postage (or triple, or quadrapole, etc).

Right now, I'm kinda sweaty and my knees feels like melted chocolate.

I think drinking too much tea a day is making my nerves bouncing. If that's the case, then more tea for me!

And I still want more exercise. My energies hasn't been worked off. D: What can I do at this time of night...

Over and out, but you can be sure that I will do some more exercises after this postage.

Hahaha yes, I need to get rid of the ugly flabs on my body, even if they're considered small by other people. It's still needs to go. I danced some more in the kitchen after I was banished from my room in all things athletic. Having a kid for a roommate sucks.

Oh and I played with my dogs some but had to stopp few minutes later because mom and Case wanted to hear the television. Rolling Eyes Oh the woes of my night life.

Finally moved some furniture around so I wouldn't trip over anything. Danced around (aerobically, of course) for about 30 minutes.

Then got on DDR for 15 minutes. I'm gonna regret that in the morning. ^_^;

Ahem, I haven't really been doing the dvd dance aerobics since the post there. Actually, none at all.

But anyway, I've been exercising in other ways. Today I went solo kayaking and that was a lot of fun, though my grandma was nervous about me solo'ing. But I'm practically born to do everything solo (camping, and kayaking for example). Then swam in the pool for about two hours, and a portion of that was work out.

On other days, I've also done... hm, can't remember. Except last Tuesday, I went walking around for an hour and half (in which the area was filled with smoke due to brush fire). That was fun and tiring. If there's other stuff I've done, I don't remember.

But at least, I'm working out a bit, right?

I went out and ran a 3/4 of a mile or so the other day and I'm -still- sore. It's insane. Of course, I did it in steel toed boots, but still, there's no reason to be that sore other than atrophy. Biking 20 miles a day didn't make me sore, but running less than a mile does? Geeze.

My time was 13:22. D:

I felt like I was running the marathon, man, I'm totally outta shape.

Then went swimming, when I got out, my legs felt like leads. Took me a several tries to get out.

Ran up and down the staits about twenty times. I so need to be back at work, tomorrow.

Since I don't have any weights, I found two large green bean cans and lifted those for almost ten minutes.

I've lost about 5 pounds in the past week, gaining in its place about 10 pounds of muscle. The stomach area, which is like pure murder to flatten, I do 50 sit-ups, only I put my legs flat against the wall, like I'm sitting on it. Then I do 50 more with my legs against the lower part of the wall so that I get the sides, 50 per side. And if you have a cat, I suggest the bigger kitty litter boxes, they're great weights. Carry one in each hand and go up and down your stairs once or twice a day and you'll definitely feel something in your legs.

Foods to watch out for:
bread
pastas
rice
regular soda
all soda's with caramel coloring
candy
you know, the usual suspects

Good foods:
eggs
vegetables
fruits
water (lots of it)
dairy (milk, yougurt, cheese) (you do lose more weight with dairy products, when I practiced martial arts I used to go through a gallon of water within a 3 hour period and a gallon of milk a day)

Ran for a run today with mom, about 2 miles. Floridan heat is horrid. >:[

Probably took me about half hour to run/power walk the two miles.

edit: I did a mile on the beach run and came in at 11:03 for time. I loved the sand in Sarasota, it was so firm.

On Weds, I did another beach mile run, back on Venice beach (terrible sand) and my time came in at 12:57. :[

On Thursday, I did the morning walk for 1.45 miles (probably 2) with mom and her friend. Then finally got DDR out of Alex's car so I did a bunch of dancing that day.

On Friday, I did even more DDR but not as heavy as on Thursday. So, Friday was my half rest day.

I'm sore.

Yay. x_x It's been a while since I've done some actual exercise.

I walked/jogged/ran for 20 minutes and then did some crunches.

I'd like to firm up my stomach and tone my legs a bit.

I have no idea, Anima, it's best to go to a sports medicine personnel.

As for me... Ahhhh, what a refreshing run--though, I think I ran too slow. o_O Even though my heart rate was in the optimuim target range (139-179). Originally, it was at 129-169, and I found it too slow. And even the revised one was too slow too.

Then again, I only ran 1.5 miles in 21:29 minutes, with the average pace per mile of only 14:19.

I'll have to adjust that. And for those interested in running and keeping track, I found a nice site that had made excel sheet templates for such a thing. It even has triathlon training sheet! Just the thing I need.

'Course, some stuff might appear complicated, but yeah. Thinman.com.

I needed some form of log so that I can see improvements (and in the long run, improve my self-esteem by vowing to try even harder, even if I'm doing worse, which won't happen...) And that way, after awhile, I can start planning on what kind of intensity and volume of running I can and should do.

Yey! I'm proud of myself. I haven't exercised for over 10 minutes in a looonnng time.

What I've done so far today:

-30 minutes on the treadmill
-60 crunches
-6 minutes on the stair-stepper-rope-pully thing

I plan on using my Slider for ten minutes later today. Very Happy

I feel it's about time for me to get in shape. I've lost weight over the past three years. I started at nearly 125 (I'm 5'1'', so it was slightly over weight) and am now at about 105. I've started watching this show called Namaste Yoga and doing some of the positions really helped my back feel better and my flexibility is better too. I'm going to start out by warming up with stretching and simple yoga and following that with a thirty or so minute walk a day (if I have the time of course). I'm planning on getting some weights too. My dad is looking into getting an excersize bike for himself and he said I could use it too so that'll be a big help. I might even dig the old DDR pad out of my closet.

I've been watching Namaste Yoga too. I'm not exactly into yoga, but I have been watching this show called Shimmy. From what I've seen, it's really good and fun. Plus, I love dancing. ^^

Yeah, so I've been working on my abs since first week of May by routinely doing 100-200 sit-ups each day. 100 during the middle of the day, and 50-100 (depending on how I feel) by the end of the night before I go to bed. It got me good results so far, though I'm aiming to be a bit ripped like my cousin (who's around the same height as me), so I don't think I'm anywhere close to where I want to be. Might be a bit tough because of my clusterfuck of a diet...I might have to add more protein schtuffs and cut back on the random sweets.

I <3 this thread. It just motivated me start doing crunches again. I had started slacking off ever since my stair-stepper's batteries died. (The calorie counter spoiled me.)
So far I've done 140 crunches today. I'll hopefully do some cardio when I get home and then do my crunches. (They say to do at least ten minutes of cardio first if you're trying to tone.)

I bought an exercize ball. It's actually really fun to exercize on it. It really seems to work too because I can feel my muscles working. I also bought two four pound weights and have been using them every day since I got them. I'll keep at it and post my progress.
