| Seeking female vocalist with operatic skills [message #1147956] |

Hello everyone. I just happened to stumble across this forum, and it occurred to me that someone here might be able to offer advice.
I'm a lyricist, and one of my co-writers (musician/composer) has recently finished creating a lovely musical score for a lyric of mine that tells a sad love story set in medieval Japan.
The music/melody calls for a female vocalist with possibly operatic skills. A metal vocalist might even be suitable, as long as she has a good vocal range. The music itself isn't metal, but is more in the nature of a musical/theatrical production.
If anyone can suggest names of Japanese singers with this skill, I'd be most grateful. Then I'd track the singers down online and possibly try to contact them. She needn't be Japanese, by the way. I simply thought a Japanese vocalist would feel a particular connection to the lyric and music.
(I might mention that the collaboration is all a labour of love. No payment is involved. My co-writers and I create songs for the pure joy of it.)
I'm happy to answer any questions you might have.
Thanks!
Donna
