Kagome woke slowly, savoring every last moment she could in her warm bed. She opened her eyes cautiously; afraid that her pleasant dreams would erupt into a nightmare if she moved too quickly. She kept her hands tucked underneath her head and pulled her covers tighter around her face so the cold air would not nip so violently at her sensitive skin.
